FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES

Not Applicable
Lower Flammable limit in air (% by vol): 599°F/>315°C(COC)
Flash Point (Test Method): Class III - B

Flammability Classification:
Extinguishing Media: Regular foam, carbon dioxide (C02) OR DRY CHEMICAL.

Special Fire Fighting Procedures:
Approach fire from upwind side. Avoid breathing smoke, fumes, mist, Or vapors on downwind side. Do not enter fire area without full bunker equipment , including NIOSH. Approved Positive Pressure Breathing Equipment and full face piece.

Unusual Explosion and Fire Procedures:
Water or foam may cause frothing which can be violent & possibly endanger the life of the firefighter, especially if sprayed into containers of hot, burning liquid. Containers may be rupturs from internal pressure if confined to fire area. Get nonessential persons out of area.

SECTION 6.
ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES

Containment & Clean-Up Procedures:
Small spill - scoop or scrape up. Put in container for recovery or disposal.
Large spill - Eliminate all ignition sources ( flares, flames including pilot lights, electrical sparks). Persons not wearing protective equipment should be excluded from area of spill until clean-up has been completed. Stop spill at source. Prevent from entering drains, sewers, streams or other bodies of water. Prevent from spreading. If run runoff accurs, notify authorities as required. Pump or vacuum transfer spilled product to clean containers for recovery. Absorb unrecoverable product . Transfer contaminated absorbent, soil & other materials to containers for disposal.

Exposure Controls:
If workplace exposure limit(s) of product or any component is exceeded or in the absence of proper environmental control, use NIOSH approved respirator or chemical filter mask to prevent overexposure. OSHA regulations also permit other NIOSH / MSHA respirators ( Negative Pressure Type ) under specified conditions. Engineering or administrative controls should be implemented to reduce exposure. Avoid prolonged or repeated breathing of vapors.

Ventilation:
Use sufficient local exhaust and general mechanical ventilation to maintain
Exposure below TLV(s).

Personal Protections:
Avoid contact with eyes. Wear safety glasses or goggles as necessary. Avoid prolonged or repeated contact with skin. Wear chemically resistant gloves ( Neoprene Nitrile Rubber). Use other impermeable clothing & personal protective equipment to prevent contact.
